Locally:


The AOC is a member of the:

  • Environmental Foundation of Jamaica (EFJ)

  • Association of Development Agencies (ADA)

  • People's Action for Community Transformation (PACT)
  • Parish Development Committee

  • Jamaica Cuba Friendship Association (Westmoreland Chapter). Between the years 2007 – 2009, this collaboration allows us to have 3 students presently in Cuba studying medicine, 1 student studying Spanish and a Cuban teacher teaching Spanish in our community.


The AOC is a founding member of the Environmental Foundation of Jamaica (EFJ). The EFJ is the main funder of our Projects. To date, they have sponsored the Refurbishing of our Summer Camper’s Park called the “Pride of Petersfield”.


We also work closely with the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission.



Internationally:


  • We work with the Robin Lee Whittlesey Foundation,  who sponsors our community Library, Summer Camp and our continuous Learning Program.

  • Amizade Global Service – Learning and Volunteer Program, where universities, colleges, high school students and their Professor/ Lecturer in various fields of education but more specifically community development and socialization have been working with us over the past six years. They volunteer in construction, landscaping, teach & mentor in High Schools, Primary Schools and E.C.I., provide services in Hospitals, Clinics and Infirmaries. For the year 2009 & 2010 in the month of March only, we had a total of 47 & 37 volunteers, they volunteer on projects such as:

  1. Coke’s View Primary School - Refurbished & painted a canteen and teaching IT.

  2. Galloway E.C.I – Break ground and put in infrastructure for a 24 X 16 classroom and teaching.

  3. Shrewsbury E.C.I – Painted School.

  4. Pride of Petersfield” Park – Landscaping.

  5. Petersfield and Godfrey Stewart High Schools – Teaching, Mentoring and Motivational talks.

  6. Petersfield Community Centre – Teach Computer.
